Re-imagining the “new normal” for group travel, requires enhanced awareness and contextual empathy.
We believe that by proactively addressing the health & safety unease, brought about by COVID-19, that individual members of the group may have, is the first of a series of baby steps towards re-establishing group travel confidence. It is essential that we balance best practices for the use of face coverings as needed, responsible group friendly social distancing techniques when out and about, on coaches, and at restaurants, etc. with a superior guest experience.
As vaccines are now widely available (in the USA for all individuals 16+ years of age), the CDC has updated its mask guidance for fully vaccinated people in outdoor settings with emphasis placed on “small gatherings” although, it continues to recommend masking for crowded outdoor events and indoor visits to movie theaters, shopping malls, parades, etc.
